Bravery – The Best Description For Heroism

So, today, in India is ‘Diwali’ or the ‘festival of lights’. So, I wish a very happy Diwali to all Indians, and maybe even people from other countries too. The blog topic given to me today is ‘Brave’. SO, I’m just gonna narrate the story of a boy, Tushar Varma who was very brave in saving his neighbors, who were an old couple.

On 20 September 2015, a temporary shed near Tushar Varma’s house caught fire. An old couple lived alone in the house. When Tushar Verma saw the fire, he started screaming loudly. There was a lot of straw kept on the top of the shed while three cows and two bulls were tied inside. Hearing Tushar Verma’s scream, neighbors rushed to the spot. Tushar who was having dinner, left his meal and ran towards the shed.

As the neighbors tried to put out the fire by throwing water, Tushar immediately climbed on the top of the shed. Taking water from the people gathered there, he tried to douse the flames. Although Tushar had a tough time, he persevered in his attempt for more than three hours until the fire was extinguished. The cattle were rescued with the help of villagers. Tushar received burn injuries in the incident. He even rescued the old couple by carrying him out. Tushar Verma set an example for many children with his gallant and selfless act.

I just have to say, this kid was incredibly brave. If I had been him, I would have been a part of the neighbors who had doused the fire. You know, I’m not that kind of girl who is afraid for everything. It’s just that I hate the fire. But, seriously people, this kid is an incredible example of all the brave children found in India. I have to say, I’m inspired by him. So, yeah, keep rocking and have a happy and safe Diwali.
