It has been found that yoga has outdone aerobic exercises and aids in making our body flexible and our mind, calm. Yoga aids in menopausal symptoms and also helps the elderly in their body-related problems.

Regular yoga practice lowers heart diseases and hypertension. It can even increase and tone muscle size with continuous practice. Even though the progress is slow, it helps in maintaining the effects for a lifetime. Also, yoga is good for your skin and helps in maintaining the ‘youth’ look of your skin.

It also improves blood flow and is ideal for an everyday workout. Yoga doesn’t strain the body too much. But even so, it is advised that beginners must have an instructor by their side. Yoga isn’t totally cut out for maintaining fitness. It can produce best results only when combined with strenuous exercises like running or weight-lifting.

Yoga also helps in vertical growth of the human body. Namely, the Tadasana and Tiryaka Tadasana play their part well in improving your posture, thereby giving you a taller appearance.

Yoga also helps with anxiety and depression. Yoga connects the mind and body that involve controlled deep breathing and various postures along with basic meditation which lowers the heart rate, thereby reducing stress.

Yoga has a lot of benefits hanging around. This tends to help in increasing hip size in women, which aid them through childbirth. It strengthens our muscles and even tones them. Yoga perfects our posture and prevents joint and cartilage breakdown. Also, the total amount of meditation calms our mind and lets us take the right decisions to various matters. It also helps you gain a deep sleep and gives more room to your lungs. It also helps you to increase your self-esteem.
